Welcome, Creator

Today my mind supports me in creating what I love. That was not always the case. Only after years of being lost, I understood that there was never something wrong with me. I just didn’t know how to use my mind.

Here is a simple step-by-step guide to start using your mind for you, instead of being subservient to it.

Context: Moments of tension, conflict, negative loops are great opportunities to train your awareness. First by putting the spotlight on your patterns and beliefs. Second by stepping beyond. Take a few minutes and write the answers to these questions down. Don’t overthink them, answer them quickly and intuitively. As good as you can.

Step 1: Awareness

You must see what you think, feel, and believe. Otherwise, you are subject to it. Make the unconscious conscious. Every time you experience conflict, get stuck in a pattern, or negative loop, zoom in and become aware of the underlying belief.

  1. What is the conflict, problem, loop you are facing:

  2. What are your (negative) thoughts related to this situation? (Be as intellectually honest as you can, what you write down is no longer hidden and loses it’s power.)

  3. What are your (negative) feelings related to this situation? E.g. shame, anger, sadness, fear… Take a moment to feel it.

  4. What does that (negatively) mean about you?
